Merciful Fog

Yesterday morning, I woke up around 4:30AM in KPN bus. The bus was supposed to reach Meenambakkam at 4:30. But there were hardly any lights nearby. The place looked like a rural area.

After a few minutes we were in Villupuram! The conductor told us that it was supposed to reach this place at 1:30AM and because of traffic, we are running 4 hours late. We were sure to loose the flight at 6:30. We decided to cancel the tickets and book for the next flight. We called up the travel agency, and whoa! He says,”The flight is delayed by an hour”

The delay was primarily because of heavy fog in Delhi. Finally the we reached there at 7:50AM and the flight was at 8:50AM.

Fog saves the day!!

Annexe.octa.rect.edu

Finally the Annexe building near Octagon computer centre is up.
Students need not wait for systems in Octagon Internet lab.

With 110 systems connected to internet, its almost impossible for the
lab to be full!

BenQ monitors with amazing resolutions + 1G RAM. Around 20 students
are called for test run, here at Annexe building and I’m one of them,
blogging from one of the terminals.

Besides, NITTmail is being upgraded to newer version of horde. Check
http://webmail.nitt.edu/

The new lab will be open to students around next week(Finally!)

Doku Maniac

Few days before, I chanced to see Vijay’s site(aka BVK) website. That’s where I saw doku .

Doku wiki is a cute, small and simple KISS wiki. Targeted at developer teams, it is best to manage one’s personal contents. I downloaded doku from Andreas Gohr’s site.

Since my Linux is somewhat screwed up right now, I used Uniserver to host the wiki. I spent almost half-a-day in exploiting the features of Doku. Its features are splendid. The wiki engine doesn’t use a database, it works on flat files, so content can be recovered even when the server is not running. Some of the features are:

Cute!

I just went crazy!

More features on wiki:features

Doku is best for collaboration work, managing personal stuffs and bookmarks.

Yahoo! uses Twiki, says Swaroop
Should check out how efficient it is managing personal stuffs.

I work at Yahoo! - the opinions expressed here are my own, and neither Yahoo! nor any other party necessarily agrees with them.
