Fireball

Recently I found via someone that Aaha FM is streaming its FM broadcast online. Ever since then, I am tuned to it. Listening to a good collection of songs changes the ambience and gives me a different, fresh mindset altogether. I also have a good set of songs in my iPod, but 250 songs is a small number.

For non-chennai-ite like me, tamil FM radio channels are out of reach. I always wanted some FM tamil channel like Radio Mirchi online. I used to hear Suryan FM via Isaitamil, but Suryan FM sucks. It is yet another audio version of Sun Music. I always hated call-and-play-me-a-song programmes. I also don’t prefer the Shoutcast stations. Aaha FM is playing good collection of songs, I am especially interested in the morning programme by Chinmayee and late night Ilayaraaja songs.

Back in college(trichy) when were in second year, we used to get Radio Mirchi(chennai) if we had to adjust the wiring and attach some extra antenna. Bad weather would spoil the radio, also we could recieve it only during the late night timings. Me, Suresh, Kicha and others got addicted to FM. We went to a limit of recording the radio and playing it again and again :p

During our Third and Final years, we had our own radio jockey, Aalu! Even now, there is no FM channel which could match Aalu’s collection of songs. His taste of music is appreciated by everyone in our wing. Late night mokkais, Pearl Coffee and Aalu’s playlist is something that I’ll miss for a quite long time.

Hope more FM channels start broadcasting online, following Aaha FM’s line.

I was happy to see David Myriam putting the entire Guest Lecture team’s Photo in his website.

It was a pleasant surprise.

Today, all my exams, viva and project submissions are over. There is nothing more left between me and NITT as a student. I am going to miss a lot, and listing everything will almost take this full post. I’ll probably prepare a list and post it someday in my sem holidays(That’s when I’ll know what I miss!)

It is hard to express whatever you feel, in words, and I am particularly weak at it. I just wanted to record this event in my blog, and I’m doing it.
